I have everything but the final destination. Am I overthinking? Is it the newsworthy one, or the final, final one, as in where is 47 + number now? Or is it where is the 43 now? I've confused myself again.

I think it’s the word for wheedle that is eluding, and frustrating me -

What an excellent puzzle. Thanks Eclogue. I struggled for a while with nailing the possible destination but I got there in the end. Funny that both this week’s Listener and Inquisitor are linked to films with the same leading man! Eclogue... THanks again!

Quite a bit of meandering going on? If so, I think I have it. Thank you Kirky, I think I confused myself by thinking that the two blocks were contiguous with each other, rather than just internally. Of course, if they were, they'd be one block...

I'm somewhat bemused by 1d, having found an anagram of cite and repent that means every five years, not four, in greek! This renders nothing I can pair with BOR to give a possible destination. Any hints welcome.
