Grid complete (hooray) and so to endgame... All words in preamble important so unhappy that I can't interpret 'preceded by a 4-letter phrase'. A nudge big enough to earn a red card would be appreciated. Thanks.

Your cell with 2 letters in it has the first 2 of the 4 letters.

After a marvellously satisfying run on this week's Listener, I'm finding this frustrating. It says 'in the completed grid, one cell contains two letters'.

I have this in the second cell of 12 across but from the thread it seems that there is another in 13 across. Have I made a mistake?

the beg of 13a ...yes 3 letters in 1 cell ...same with the down clue where it crosses 13a....then you choose.....
