Yes it is. 3d should be 6 letters and 13a should be 8 letters

I’ve gone astray somewhere. I can see the end game and have a full grid, apart from 42a where I have ?ESI?NA?S and can’t find a word to fit. A steer in the right direction would be appreciated.

I am stuck at the top. I thought sauceboat was obvious but cant parse it and think it might be wrong

2a - definitely a sneaky clue as it looks for all the world like it's Delia Smith's sauceboat - but it isn't.... - You need to alter a letter in the first word to - 4 letters for "floated" + 2 letter abbr."past" around the three letter "snake" - It's a type of vessel you might need in the everglades in the US.

I know! And I had a field day with the IQ also, using 2 different colours for the 7 cells to highlight what "she went through" and then another one for the 12 cells - great stuff 😃
