For 17a I started with 'pants' took the t out and thought the result a perfectly good answer, in the sense of a camera shot that goes round. Oh well.

I enjoyed this. Managed to finish on my own. Grateful for the forum's help in parsing 4 clues I had the answers for. LOI 12a.COD jointly 9d and 19a which also made me laugh. Bit wiser about women's underwear!

Long time lurker here but had to register just to say I did this too! As you say, it made perfect sense to me. Eventually realised it was wrong when nothing fitted around it.

For me COD was 13d. I love an ingenious hidden word. AZED had "SA bird forming part of a nest in a mound", which had me looking for synonyms for mound for ages.
