Hi Justsolve,

Nice one, brought back some good memories. I saw them at the Roundhouse about a thousand years ago and they did that song as part of their encore - they were great:-)

I remember reading a review of the concert a little while later and it said that Jean-Jaques didn't so much start playing the bass as unleash it:-)

Found this straight forward; surprising for me. I spotted the long anagrams quickly. I am guessing that like Brendan I realised that 2d was used last week as well. I don't like Primarilies but at least this week Everyman is unambiguous. I eat stew with a fork. I need a spoon for 2d.
Its not going to be like any other Christmas. So Seasons Greetings and stay safe folks.

Hello everyone. I found it fairly easy once I discovered the theme. FOI 11a. 25a - COD possibly.

I’m not sure about 21a. I have a country that fits but can’t see why or what it has to do with Sweden. Letters: s-r-a

Thanks.

Sweden = S (IVR code) + reversed word meaning "open"

Hi catcharmer,
Your letters are correct. It’s a single letter abbreviation for Sweden followed by a reversal for the rest of the clue

IVR codes are in Chambers, or this page comes in handy:

@justsolve The Stranglers were a bit late for me.... my youthful music era was 60's to mid 70's, Beatles and prog rock....

Hello all
I'm a long time reader (two years?) and this is my first post. I too found this relatively easy, as opposed to last week's offering. Fun, though. I love the Henry VIII clue, had me wrongfooted for a while.
Here's wishing you all a tolerable festive season. Now, on to yesterday's Guardian.
