18d ORFE (aka IDE - the crossword fish)
ORE is another term for OARWEED, a type of seaweed (apparently, as Google tells me!)

Hi EvilTony

22ac - The last 4 letters are the theme word, the first five words of the clue are the definintion.

I've enjoyed watching from the sidelines for a while. I enjoy this type of crossword and, reading the first few comments today I thought this would be a good time to get involved.

I needed all the crossers before getting 22a. Fortunately I knew it had to contain a theme word by that stage

Thanks jono, goldcrest and chrise.
All done and dusted.

Re 54ac - a 'corporation' refers to a person's stomach.

Hi all. My first post here. I have done all of this except for 60d, Rock singer, and 61d, Experts’ whorls? Both are 4 letters and I have the same 2 letters for both. ?a?s. 60d could be a word that is a singer and a theme word but don’t see how it relates to Rock. As for 61d I can’t see any word of 4 letters that has both definitions or is a theme word. Any hints much appreciated. Oh, and also, although I have an answer for 49a I’m not sure how Guitarist fits in.

Hi newb0y and welcome,
The rock in 60d is in Scotland. 61d I believe it’s experts in the sense of aficionados. I was also a bit dubious but Chambers supports it. 49a is the name of a classical guitarist as well as being on theme

Ugh. Too many still to do to expect to finish. Haven't cracked the theme - any hints most welcome. And Merry Tier 4 Christmas!
