It helped that I spotted the 14 to be shaded after thinking it was something to do with Ice-cold in Alex. (:o)

Yes, the 'ice cold' was a definite tank-trap.

The positioning of the 14 highlighted cells is a great final touch and is the topping on an excellent puzzle.

Yes indeed. I managed to complete it early this morning. Really enjoyed it, but still can't understand how 'icecold' is thematic.

Slugabed, Ice-cold isn't the correct entry . If you have Chambers, plough through the 'ice..' stuff for a thematic entry.

It's not in my version of Chambers, 1972 edition, but I got it very quickly by looking for a word C?L? which roughly fitted the theme, then googled the longer word. I noticed AZED had used the word in 2015.
