You're welcome Fop.
I enjoyed this week's offering more than last week's. FWIW, I don't think anyone has mentioned the two long rhyming down clues, which seems to be a regular feature of The Everyman.

Hi all. Late here as usual. Bike ride this morning so didn’t start till U.K. afternoon. I was a perplexed ‘r’ not a ‘b’ but I think b makes more sense.

I always seem to struggle on clues that no one else does! Today it was 6a but finally worked out the pork(ie) pie definition and I’m done.

Spent ages also on 10a because it felt too un-cryptic - agree with Brendan on that.

My COD is 9a - I do like a Spooner clue to get me thinking!

Thanks to everyone for the very helpful comments. Struggling to parse 8d. I assume first four letters are a synonym of "cuts" but can't see the rest.

I wasn't convinced, but I took at as a 2 letter abbreviation for "education" contained in a word describing wasting time.

26a I originally had the B version, but having thought about it, the R version is more cryptic.
25a I don't think it's a very good homophone, unless I'm missing something.
1d There's a missing ING
16a I can't accept smoothly as an anagrind. It should be just the opposite!
However, other than those grumbles it was an enjoyable exercise. I haven't taken any outside today due to rain, hail and thunder!
There's a rhyming pair again this week too.

I can't see how 8 dn works either.
Also not happy about the ISL bit of 12 ac.
Perhaps someone smarter than I could explain?

Quocunque,
8d. def. is 'crookedly' LOPSIDEDLY
makes cuts = LOPS + ED, education, in IDLY, unedifyingly.
12a. ISL is in Chambers for 'island'
