As with orson, my highlighting is symmetrical (reflectional in both x and y axes, and rotational order 4). I’m looking for your alternative arrow head highlighting simplesimon, but I can’t see it.

If you take a 9 letter word meaning "group separately" minus one G and then reverse it

Merenz, Orson. Spot on! Our highlighting made sense, but wasn’t perfectly symmetrical. Now it is! Back to school for 3, 2, 3, 4. At my Catholic Grammar School (50s and 60s) we’d have got lines and detention as well. Thanks

Before I had the PDM for the 4 letter word common to each saying, I'd put put all the themed answers in to Google and was greeted by a My Little Pony Wiki Fandom page - surely not, I thought!!

I had a similar experience with last week’s Oxymoron puzzle Brendan. Google gave me a load of stuff on the console game, Zelda :-D And whilst, given my kids ages, I’m familiar with Zelda, I was pretty sure Oxymoron wouldn’t have been.
