I seemed to be getting nowhere but I'm a bit more hopeful now.

Doubt if any setters (apart from Hamishsoup) read these threads but I thought the precision and concision of cluing in this was exceptional. Only thought "entering" in 7 which was my LOI was superfluous.

prospero- I agree with you about the quality of the cluing. I don’t think ‘entering’ is superfluous though. It, together with ‘set up’, describes what has to be done to the words between.
