Apology accepted. I'm not lacking in a sense of humour and have found some of your posts on other threads to be funny but it just seemed that you and Terry weren't making any constructive contribution.

John D'Arran and Philip started this thread some time ago and it is particularly useful to those of us who attempt the Radio Times crossword because of the idiosyncratic thinking of the compiler and, incidentally, when one of us says that it took half an hour to complete the crossword it's merely a yardstick of the difficulty not a boast.

Beats me what trevor thinks he should be saying sorry for.
For my part I echo trevor's remarks about having no intention of deliberately messing up this regular thread. but I reserve the right to post on it occasionally if I wish to. If this upsets caravaggio that's too bad. He can always commit hari-kari (or,and this is more likely,show he is really the master of hot air).
