Hi chrise and thanks for5a, which makes 7d clear. As for 26a, not a clue I'm afraid.

First 2 letters are a Greek letter, next 2 a generic politician, last 2 come from "tiny".

It's possibly an unfamiliar word, though. A bit slangy...

Reply to all. Got there eventually. Started this morning and was totally flummoxed. Gave up. Went for long walk. Returned from walk and to Everyman. Looked at posts. Not a clue. But what helped was the comment about 12a being in a recent puzzle. 26a hint helped as well. Got me going. Thanks to all. Love 4d. It was a good one this week. Really good. Back behind my mask now.

Agree with all who found this tougher than yesterday's prize. But not such a bad thing to have a tougher Everyman now and again. Not quite there yet but 21a the 'oddly' part isn't oddly is it? Or have I missed something?

Rocky7 as I have not helped anyone today yiu are the lucky winner oddly works on one of the clue words to give you three letters followed by a 6 letter synonym of races as in peoples. Hope you get it before i go on and on hint
