Nice puzzle with nice PDM ... but there seems to be a clash too many. What's going on in the cell numbered 31? Neither possibility is an UNUSUAL GROUND.
Hi Cockie, my list shows 17 thematics. 16 are double letters including the one in 31 across. I am still working on what goes below the grid because - typically - - I have only 11 unclued letters despite a full grid.
Where did you find that list? All the ones I know have only 15, and if the one to which you refer is part of your list then the item between it and the other 15 most certainly isn't an UNUSUAL GROUND. I hate to suggest that Kruger and the Editors have nodded, but I can't see another explanation.
It is on the list on Wiki as is the single letter one needed for the blank cell. I am half-looking at this and half-watching the football but I will head to my various reference books at half-time.
