My 22a has one it. Is ten missing, or assumed to be in 26a?

Mathi, sure but we think you need to rake the I from 21a. I think it’s just the digits so stops at nine

Digital means ten fingers?

Sorry... typo, take the “o” from 21a to make one

Long time since I have been on this website good to see it still going.

I don't really buy Jono's theory since with 26 and 27 you can also split seven across the two answers.

However if you take discernible as meaning distinct then 26 has seven and ten in it, ie non-distinct. Digital numbering would imply all ten numbers. Just a theory.

Mathi, I looked up digits and they are defined as zero to nine, so maybe zero is the exception??

Jafo - excellent point re seven I didn’t spot that. Now I think zero is missing based on the definition of ‘digits’

Yes could be zero as well. It is a little annoying when you do these puzzles and the actual point remains a bit hazy.

Anyway nice crossword, very enjoyable.
