Completely stumped by one clue and wondering if we've got something wrong.

The entry we have so far is

?UTEAU and think the latent letter is an I.

Any hints would be super.

Solved most of this but a few are resisting. Any hints re 2d - what makes children old (I have several letters but as many that could be one letter or another) and 11d large duck.... for which I have 4 of 5 entered letters and not a clue!

Granama, 2 D is that very strange and horrible illness/disease/condition that ages children.

11. Large - two letters/abbreviation.
Duck - four-letter common one, often used in crossword.
Spoken aloud, the second half could sound like an anvil, made of ….

Just got 2d...a little google works wonders when you ask the right question!
