I'd really welcome a steer and would be most grateful to anyone who can help. The Listener is always a stretch for me but I was making good progress. I am now hopelessly stuck.

Is the 6th row: XXSORINMXANGA?
Then It looked as the A in UNDEAD (two rows above) was the first letter in a 9 letter word that is an anagram of 'baron and tutu'. If so I cannot get the next set of across clues to fit.

Where have I gone wrong? I see that this is 'a may contain answers' so I may well need extra help. I'd like to finish this one if I could before BBC Wales rebroadcast the famous Wembley Wales england game this Saturday.

Many thanks

6th row all correct.

The "baron tutu" anagram word starts with the T in row 3.

The A in UNDEAD is the fist letter of 'Stones hit......'

Thanks Brendan

I had the two words of the anagram in the wrong order!

Will now try and battle on. Once again this forum is a great help.

I had actually written out a post saying to avoid making the same mistake as me and putting the words in the wrong order! But at the last minute I cancelled it:-)

Thanks again Brendan

As a result of your correction I have now finished the grid, though I would never have solved manga without the help of this thread.

Before I go on and try to get to the endgame could I ask for a parse of:
News agency's about to move on? about time they say! (8)
I have an answer that fits and begins with UTT.

I'd just like to check that I haven't made another error.

You are right, williamseal. The agency is Reuters, with the usual two-letter form for “about” moved further along, and surrounding the T for time
