Can anyone help parse this..

First Lady in front of born Democrat's flat (6)

The answer is clear, but if Eve is the "first lady" and D is "democrat" then "born" must be "Ne" but I can't find any justification for this, it's always "Nee"

'ne' (with an accent) is the French masculine form, brendan.

Managed to finish this, but, before I put it away, can someone parse this...

Mummy in film may be waving, kept in Bow (6)

I wondered if "kept in Bow" might be (h)AD but that's about as far as I get.

'unde' is 'waving' (heraldry) + cockney dropping of 'h' ('in Bow') 'ad' = 'kept'

Help please!

Puzzle complete, song identified, dotted areas filled but I can only identify 12 of the fifteen cells to highlight. I cannot work out the symbols bit.

All hints gratefully received.

Look at the LP cover (of the band's version).
