Is it me or is 3d flawed in that the first word is not customarily abbreviated?

It's always abbreviated, with an apostrophe.

Having recently been clued in to hevabbreviations used here, I'd like to suggest a new one - ITOI..

I'll let you figure it out with the clue that the clue to 27a is people's exhibit A (nod to Perry Mason TV series)

Any hint for 23d Goes with look up got the rest. I like the spoonerism.

Yevrah the word “goes” is the clue.

The usual crossword convention for “with”, and then “look” up.

Trying to still keep it a bit cryptic here!

23D had me stumped for ages too. I normally curse when this setter drops in one of these vague definitions, but I must admit this one raised a (slightly juvenile) chuckle when I finally got it. And agree -- a perfect spoonerism for once. Can anyone shed light on the 'little island' part of 14D? I've got the answer (I think!), but can't parse that bit.

The middle three letters are a small island (there are various spellings).

Like phil10000 I had not come across the 3 letter word for a little island before. I will now remember that. As for the cryptic hint for a cryptic clue from richardk ... leaves me none the wiser!!. I might leave it all unfinished for the rest of the day. Delayed gratification and all that. Hope you are all keeping sane.
