That 20d clue is good because that particular king is famous for one particular deed. When I was first taught about it, the implication was that he was so self important he believed himself to be able to control nature.
Whereas the reality is that he did it specifically to teach his subjects that no king has dominion over nature. It was to show humility, to show that he was like any other person, thus the exact opposite of the first way I learned it.
So “misrepresented” works in the clue for that too.
Overall enjoyable but either I’m getting better at solving them or the top half was some of the easiest I’ve ever seen in an Everyman.
