Agree with @yervah about the anagrams especially in the top half which I surprisingly whizzed through, Bottom right to a bit longer. But I can't finish bottom left.
I have 15d S***E *T (3rd letter I?)
20d ***U*E
21a ***E***N

Hi Fop,

15d Your letters are correct but the 3rd is O

20d Initial/a little U(nwisely) + 7 letter word meaning "skull cap" minus it's first letter - definition is 'heavy metal'.

21a Definition is "Alert" and it's a homophone clue - first is a homophone of what you call when you score a boundary in cricket and the second word is a homophone of a previous captain of Australia (cricket)

Apologies,

20d After the U it's a 7 letter word meaning "skull" with it's cap/initial letter removed.

TX Brendan

The heavy metal is 19d. Is 20d an ancient king? Misrepresented????

Tx Smot and Brendan. I'd replied before I saw the responses. Still not sure of the parsing of 20d tho.
