Apparently, an Eton Bob is a haircut? Maybe one to give a go now we don't have to go out any more.

Hi Tombo

Just three left and seven theme words (I must have missed some!)

2d, 26d and 39ac
I can't find a dragon slayer.

Any hints welcome.

Yeah, those were later ones for me too.

2d 'opponents' is the bridge thing and it's not a first (Welsh) name.

26d is a theme clue and the definition is 'used with model railways'. Quite a nerdy technical term

39a also a theme clue. I spent a lot of time stuck on the obvious dragon slayer. Think Teutonic.

Tombo@53. Maybe something to do with the expression ‘ Bob’s your uncle’ , apparently from when the Prime Minister, the Marquis of Salisbury (Robert Cecil hence Bob) appointed his nephew to the job of Secretary for Ireland, a suspected piece of nepotism. Both old Etonians I I think.

Thanks Tombo

I think I've got them all now, though I can't quite parse 26ac, but I'm sure of the answer.

Thanks you to everyone for their help. I suppose I'll have to clean the house now in my isolation. But the tomatoes are in their pots now and I've lots to plant in the garden.

The model railway one was my last in but I still don't understand it. Presumably you take out the three letter abbreviation and apply some "borders" to what is left to find an equivalent of "who", but I can't find any appropriate word.
