Hi lumen, (roa)ring

Thanks Ginge. That final small tip led me to the other four I had to solve, and to finally get the phrases and finish. It was all rather more high- brow than I was thinking...I had Phantom of the Opera and ALW in my head!

Am I dense or just dozy but I can't for the life of me get 9dn Fish faces despite earlier nudges on here...

You mentioned D ense and D ozy, bazotto… maybe that letter would help (stick it in front of Laertes' letters...)

Finally got there! Thanks, Malone, and all others for helpful hints.
Am listening to the music whilst writing: not a piece I know, but it sounds suitably sombre. Also learned a lot from digging around for info. I'm no judge, but I thought this was a very enjoyable one
