Dandybandy - sounds like you've got the wrong second word for 1a. Have you parsed yours? There is another similar expression.

It is 1a that you have wrong......it is not hen "party" that you want , but an alternative word.
It is a homophone for another word for "man" ...think chess piece.

No, Brendan...not really.
I don't know what was happening yesterday.....
I had intermittent difficulty accessing the Forum.... a notice kept popping up ,telling me that the site was "not responding".
No reason given.
I also found myself logged off several times, when I hadn't initiated it.
It has been ok so far today, though.....
