Marca, 11 A is a totally normal, common word - I think it appears in crosswords quite often. Yes, it's from 7 D, which has an extra letter at the beginning.

31 D. Do want help the clue there or what goes in the space there?

30a Lapps run from maze as disconcerted
38a Leader's first to take gold out of mark

marca, if you still need 31d - take 't' from 'aslan(t)' for a fictional N+OIL (reversed).

I have a full grid but am stumped by the endgame - not helped as I am a little unsure about some of the misprints in the jumpers. I cannot get the lady's name from the omitted letters from the fallers and suspect that I may have gone wrong there. I have a-a-a-a-b-d-i-l-n-o-r-s-t-v. Any hints /pointers in the right direction would be welcome. Back now to working on the misprints. I wish the Captcha pictures were clearer.

You've got a few wrong, alwayspuzzled, although your 2nd and 4th are right (it's a foreign name - 4,10 and the surname begins BR...).

...the misprinted letter from the clue to the answer that goes in 4d should help with the country - and there are enough hints in the puzzle and title to suggest the theme (so, google might give the link you need).

alwayspuzzled - your letters are actually right but you need to write them in clue order ( in the order those downs went into the acrosses , starting with 1a ... came from 7d clue so your list of letters starts with L from 7d ,etc..)
