I was lucky to work out the technique of entering answers quite quickly, having googled publications from March 1869, but I'm stuck on solving two clues, & I'd appreciate hints (rather than answers) for these: 9a & 3d
I’m always amazed at how fast some people are able to solve Genius puzzles; I hope to keep people occupied for a good few hours! Hope you enjoyed it. H/S
Thanks, Ixion, got them! I'd been musing about the word that turned out to be No9's answer already, but hadn't realised that the central section was a word in the relevant language.
I don’t think I am allowed to give hints myself, but I will say that the final letter of 16d plus this solution is the name of my Chemistry lecturer when I was an undergrad at Cambridge :-)
