Got it now. Don't know why I stuck with the wrong 'disease' in 28 d.

Glad I could help, cloverjo. I got 38 A before 28 D and wasn't sure how the disease worked but I'd stuck it in! It was parsed, mentioned, earlier.

It's a normal clue/answer for a geographical place orson ('king' = K).
