11a, Stop and start interminably, without time to turn round?
I have N??AR?
Also a tip clue for 9a, kings one, would be great.

11 . The definition is Stop, a noun - and a certain kind of Stop. There's a little bit of anagramming involved.

There's already a big hint for 9 A.

Lumen, I now can't find the 9 A hint - sorry! The 'kings' are seasonal.

Thanks, I have 9 now, I should have got that. Still no idea on 11. Were my letters right? Is it a proper noun?

Lumen, your letters are correct. It's not a proper noun, and it's a stop that you'd find in/on an organ....

Ok, I have 11 now, never heard that word before.
So I have one unfilled square now. It’s the middle letter in 6d. I have RA?NS but must also fit LA?NS am I right? Because that seems to leave only Lawns/rawns!

Lumen, there is another word that fits LA?RNS. It's a dialect form of 'learns'.

Lumen, for 6 D, I don't think RA?Ns ever featured, before or after.
