Prospero, I took 21d. as a homophone for 2 words relating to what is vacuumed.

Hello. I'm struggling with 6D, 26A.
I have the fictional author and the second word of the title, but I can't work out the first word.

Dnairb, 6d is a place name where there may be a traffic jam.

Thank you mattrom. I actually had 26A wrong. Your hint put me right and it makes sense now.
Whew! What a crossword!

Of course you're right, ixion - I thought tripper was rather vague for Billy B. Spent ages trying to make blighted (unfortunate) fit, likewise hallmark in 26 - and 22 made me certain 11 was weeded ... quite a workout from Paul - but satisfying in the end.

I hope this has not been addressed earlier. Don't want to read spoilers before I've started.
Is this just my problem? In the printable version there are no numbers in the grid.

The numbers were there when I printed it syzygy...they seem to have fixed a numbering error for the clue at 21,8 (22,8 in the original) and removed the grid numbers, which were fine, for some weird reason.
