Once again Chambers disappoints (my edition at least). :) Don't you use "smoking" that way over there? As in "she's really smoking"? Veeery common over here, although I don't think I've ever heard it with the G pronounced.

@aristo: as someone "over there,/here", I understand that meaning, and used it in a couple of my earlier clues. (I wouldn't use it normally myself.)
