Last two. 1d and 14 d. Some help much appreciated!

And 14d.Doh!

I had managed to solve most of this fairly quickly, but am stuck on one. I now realise that the twelve answers that could be 22 are in fact fourteen, as two of them are stretched over two entries. So that leaves 5D for me. Can anyone give me a hint for this please? I wondered whether the adjustment applied to Turpin, giving an Italian region, but that doesn't make sense ... Is it an island? A language? Computers?

You're correction is correct and the definition is Turin's 11. Take half of word for young to get a colloquial name for a particular 11.

Thanks. I assumed 11 related to 11 across, and didn't even now how many there were. Not my area.

I have solved all of it except 1D for which I have S_O_T_ and just can't work out what it can be? Can someone give me a hint - which is the definition - is it a river or does it mean 'goes'? Or have I got those letters wrong?

1d. Is one of the clues without a definition.
An abbreviation for river in a synonym for goes.
