Can anyone help me parse 2 down? The answer, if I'm correct, is a Namibian tribe and VAM is evident. Where does the vessel come in?
I'd never have solved "choose the letter from across" (thanks for explanations on this thread) but completed the puzzle without needing it. I felt it was the right level so thanks

Agreed. Nice puzzle but dreadful letter matches for some. I thought it was particularly clever the way the 4 words were thematically treated to fit the quote. I wonder if there is an online tool one can use to do that type of function. Otherwise it must have taken some extensive searching. I guess at least Elfman told us the matches were dubious......
