There's a missing grid! Some answers have 5 or 9 letters, but there are no lights of these lengths. Another Grauniad misprint, methinks!

Thanks mrcodger. I looked at the instructions and decided not to bother - you've confirmed that this was the right decision!

If you get the crossword from the guardian website, there are two grids. Very entertaining. Not especially difficult.

Excuse me. I must have had a senior moment. The two grids are indeed different. How did I think they were the same? Apologies if I alarmed others and put them off trying the puzzle.

I do love a Maskarade. Looking forward to this one !

The 9 letter clues got me started but I have not got the other grid going yet

The second part of the X clue is "...having hen as dodgy classical figure"

I have S?S?EX

An English geographical area would fit, but can't parse it!

I am now placing into the grids, but can someone confirm if the 4-4 U goes vertically in RH grid. Thanksi
