I've finished, I think but the parsing of 2 is puzzling. I'm intentionally not giving my placed letters, as some would give away too much.

10a 24 across today embodies puzzle's point. (4)
I have a word defined by 24a (in the US sense)

22a Forming attachment, as one kiss pierces lover's heart (6)
I have the definition and the "one kiss", but I'm not seeing the lover's heart.

22a bearing in mind that I don't know that crossword and how it works, here's a musing ... Could it be the heart (central letter(s), as I know you'd know) of a famous lover, eg Casanova?

I'd say you are correct for 10 (that one seemed pretty straightforward to me).

I can't even see a word that would fit for 22a (I have the 1st and 5th letters)

Ah, just after I sent that reply, I saw what 22a was. The lover's heart is the heart of 'lover' (if that makes sense). I may plough on a while longer now.

Thanks for replying steve. I don't like to give answers for Prize crosswords, so I haven't given what I've got. I don't think your suggestion works for 22, or at least I can't think of one!

I'm hoping for some pointers from some of the many here that do this crossword.

I can't see that that works with my answer for 22, and I'm not seeing any wordplay for 10.

The word that I have for 22a fits the clue neatly but only seems to appear in one dictionary (Collins).

24a is the definition, all the other words of 10a are the wordplay.

I don't think we can progress on 22 wihtout spelling out the answers we have, unfortunately!

Agree. Does your 22a appear in more than just Collins? If so, we have different answers :-( (although I'm pretty sure that mine's correct as it fits the clue exactly)
