Appreciate a nudge for 19d. Lift tool, say, the axe (5-2). -E-V- --

AXe as in sack - you might use the tool in the garden

The answer is The axe - getting the sack, Tool as in one for the garden.

the axe = get fired from

5 = word for lift

2 = a two letter word that sounds like a garden tool

I think we've all been waiting for requests for help! A bit easy for a prize today.

However I've not parsed the first half of the key 25a -"Do what you do endlessly"?

Can't get anywhere today, one of those days I think.... all seems like gobbledygook!

Anyway, could I have a helping nudge for the 2 that seem key

And

I've not got the paper, but have seen a couple of things. Isn't the first half of the theme word one letter short of what they do, so 'endlessly'?

I can't get my head around it at all today! Now I feel really dumb!!! Lol!
