Can someone explain 2, 3d and 38 please. I have 6 clashes from which I cannot find anything near resembling a name. Is 6 correct?

3d: STAVE is a musical staff which has bars, of course

3: This is an &lit clue, 'Essentially' clues the middle letters of each word

There are 4 clashes

I do not understand the wordplay to 27acr.

All complete but I cannot understand the construction of 27across as regards Potter? I have a three letter word for local meadow plus six more of which five are checked by down answers.
