Got the theme but cannot quite decided between e and y for unchecked letter in 29d.

The answer to 29d is the even letters of the Bay referred to in 28d.

I still lack or don't understand 2d and 11a.

I believe I have a name for the would-be visionary, but there are many people with that name, and I'm not sure which one to concentrate on.

11a has two elements listed in chambers in its definition. I also cannot truly parse these two,clues but the answers are right. The name has only four letters.

Never mind! I figured it out.

Just one more lovely to find. My five so far are all around the gap and begin with U, A, G, P and A. What does the sixth begin with please?

Reading from left to right I have A G T B P A. I cannot parse 2d either though.
