We have never had to rely so much on this site as for this crossword.

All solved and entered except Capped man in Durban died in short flood (6), which seems to go in column 5, where we have only one square available

Any help?

I have a full grid except that I don't understand how 1ac changes from DAB to DEB ; and how is ELID correct for the "articulated look" clue. It seems to be missing a letter.

Def = capped. ou = man in S afr. d= died in tid short tide= flood.

I need help with fabulous wolf etc clue. Help someone?

Capped man is one the clues which omits OUT. The definition is "capped".

Barreter- 1 ac is FED backwards. Investigator in Florida.

The fabulous wolf is a two-letter verb and a four-letter adjective surrounding E for energy.

IS plus fearsome = GRIM with E in the middle, look in Bradford's under WOLF

The answer starts at the D of ELID. Tr those four letters
