My younger son broke a piece off his front tooth nearly 20 years ago.
A group of lads were messing about (as they do!) and he caught it on the kerb. Our dentist superglued it back in place and there it's remained to this day.

In the early 60's, I was messing about and broke my front tooth diagonally. My dentist put a diagonal piece of gold in, all for free, but I can't remember what happened to it, as front 4 have long gone.

However good the glue I'd prefer a car which had not been glued together!
I suppose all crowns are glued on and I'm sure my dentist told me whatever barnacles use to attach themselves was the inspiration for some dental glue.

Evening, Rusty!
I've just finished looking at all the photographs of Gruinard Bay. How beautiful! (There's even a waterfall!)
No wonder you wanted to spend all your holidays around there. A fantastic place for you and your sons to spend quality time together.
I had to smile when you listed what you loaded into the car......snap! Walking boots , wellies, cagoules, camera and binoculars are STILL what we put in our car when going on holiday!
How was Ascot? And you've got the US Open Golf tomorrow! Who are you betting on?
No wonder you haven't had time for the tennis!
Mind you, it's all happening at once...more Athletics at the weekend, Eastbourne next week, then Wimbledon......hard to fit everything in!

Hello, Elle!
Well, you know me and waterfalls!
A fool and his/her waterfall is soon parted!
Ascot was fine. My next horse, Wicklow Brave, is in the last race on Saturday. Need him for a double.
I can't wait for the golf starting tomorrow.
I have backed 3 golfers e/w.
Rickie Fowler, Jim Furyk, and Bubba Watson.
It is a fairly new course at Chambers Bay in Washington State.
Yes, Wester Ross is a great place to holiday, especially in Autumn. I don't think so many folk go up there any more. Cheap package holidays to blame.
Do you know, Elle, there is a generation growing up now, who have never been camping?
I like my new Nova Launcher on Hudl.
Not a Tesco ad in sight!

I've been near (though not to) Gruinard, rusty - is it free from anthrax now?

We used to stay at Kinlochbervie, and, later, Durness, quite frequently, and I've also been to Ullapool a couple of times with walking friends (the family walk too, of course!)

Chris, it was decontaminated a few years ago and given the all clear!
I would certainly not go on the island.
I remember the locals telling me years ago that all the rabbits on the island were black. They blamed the anthrax.
I like Kinlochbervie, and if we could do something about the midgies, it would be great up there!

All the rabbits on Faraid Head (Durness) have black snouts - no anthrax there!

We've been lucky up there - onshore winds have limited the midges. We have had some terrible experiences, though - Inverewe gardens and Corrieshalloch Gorge!

Yes, a good breeze sorts them out!
The gardens at Inverewe are well worth a visit,
As is Corrieshalloch, though the bridge shakes a bitty too much for my liking!
