Sorry to change the subject but I thought you might like a smile. While in Wales recently I scratched the "bumper" of my car (they are no longer the lovely solid bits of rubber but frail plastic/metal). This car is only just a year old, bought nearly 3 months ago. A mini disaster you might think.
My local garage tells me the part I damaged was held on with glue (and not even well glued!) as its brackets had been sheered off. I already thought something was odd about the bumper and had taken a photo.
I don't know about you, but I don't think a car costing the best part f £10k should be held together with glue!

Rusty,
It's ok. I managed to access the very first link you sent by just removing the 's' after https! I copied and pated into the address bar.
So will look at all of the pictures when I come back from our walk - just about to go now....thanks for all this.
Will look forward to looking at the photos!
Enjoy royal Ascot ( have you put a bet on?)
Talk later.....

Well done, Elle!
I am not good at things like that.
No Ascot bet today.
The US Open Golf Championship starts tomorrow and I have had a few wee bets on that.
Looking forward to it!

Rosalind, That's a pity about your car.
Let's hope the garage has it in top condition after repair.
Glues are used for many different purposes nowadays.
Mostly very well.
My dentist uses glue to fix crowns etc.
I am instructed to only have yogurts for 24 hours to allow the glue to set!

Is this why you had a ginger nut biscuit yesterday evening Rusty.......?
At least this what i read between the lines.

Have just come in to cool down and for a 'wee' rest - two and a half hours raking, plus weeding the little border surrounding three sides of the house, plus more raking, have just about killed my back! Have also replaced a glass pane in the garage little window; nice and cool in there.

The cherries might have to wait until this evening though - it's too hot in the sun, and my friends don't seem to able to make it until late today or tomorrow - Still, no rain forecast so one day won't make much difference.

Just picked up the thread following the cherries & the June 1945 tragic air crash which I think must have been in the Highlands of Scotland. Lots of pictures & a video so thanks to the person who put in the link. I had not heard of it before but one can't help feeling so sad for the relatives waiting for the homecoming which of course never happened.

Yes, Pigale!
I thought I would cheat a bit!
However, I do have an excellent dentist and do my best to do what she say, usually.
It seems to me you have earned a wee break from the garden work!
