Everything nearly flying about here - another batch of very strong wind, with rain falling almost horizontally at times. very dark afternoon ! not warm but not that cold though.

Well, I can see the lure of betting on a horse for instance - because there is so much to consider it is almost like a science....... and therein would lie the attraction for me, were I of a gambling frame of mind!
But choosing a name or such like would not appeal.
Don't worry, I am not going to succumb to the attractions of Paddy P!
But I am interested in learning how to interpret the bets!
It is still raining hard here - and very icy rain it is too!
I am glad to be indoors and not have to go out again.
We popped out to Sainsburys but took the car - we'd had enough soaking for one day!
You may well be right about the busyness of the hour causing problems with my Hudl - but we don't have any difficulties with either the desk top or the laptop?
If that were the problem, would they not equally be affected?
I am now going to organise dinner and then I shall watch "The Voice"!

The temperature today was supposed to be 3C , but everyone was agreeing that it felt far colder today than the last two days, so I think
it must be considerably lower.

Your Hudl is telling you there is a server error.
Which indicates, to me, it is struggling to connect to internet through your router. That is my very limited knowledge of it.
If it happened to me, I would phone BT and see where that led.
Now, Victoria update!
She came fourth today in a point to point at Cottenham, Cambridgeshire. Her mount was According to Sarah.
Tomorrow she rides at Barbury, Wiltshire.
She may have two rides.
She is booked to ride two horses in the same race.
The thinking behind that is, if there is a big entry, they will divide the race in two, and have two races.
So, Vic can then ride them both.
Her potential mounts are Working Title and Supreme Danehill.
Hope you understand this!

Yes, I do understand what you are saying............and it will be excellent added experience for Victoria should there end up being two races..........but what will happen should there be only ONE race after all?
How will it be decided then which horse Victoria should ride? and presumably one owner and trainer will lose out?
She did well today coming fourth in the point-to-point!
We had stuffed peppers for dinner! Very tasty!
And I enjoyed watching "The Voice" - give it a try?
I am recording "Casualty", as one viewing is enough for me - I shall now go back to my book........

Not sure what will happen.
I think she was booked first for Lawney Hill's horse, but this point to pointing is new to me!
Lawney posted a clip on Twitter of Vic riding work upsides another rider and she looks the part!
I won't watch The Voice. I do not like all singing shows.
Is Simon Cowell on that one?
Heavy snow at Crans-Montana. Not sure if the downhill will go ahead. In the practice run on Friday, Vonn was fifth.
But that was only a practice run!

Dreich when I got up this morning, but we are promised some sun later, so are delaying the walk until we see some signs of it!
Younger daughter and family may be coming over at some point, depending on how she is feeling.
I have already done the Everyman, disappointingly easy this morning......I like a bit of a struggle! I usually have at least a couple of elusive parses to chase up!
Just one word today I am not sure of....will consult Anne B (when I can find where I put her!)
What are you up to today?
