Hello, Elle!
I knew it was on the other side of London from where you be.
Hopefully it will be repaired soon.
No rain here.
Been lucky so far, but tomorrow's forecast is for "heavy rain".
We shall see!

Hi, Rusty!
I haven't heard any more about the water cuts........
I expect it will be on the ten o'clock News.
But it is still raining here......and I have checked tomorrow's s forecast and, like you, we are set for heavy rain lasting through - without an apparent break- until 6 am on Friday!
Ah well, the garden needs it!
I have just been stood up for lunch tomorrow!
My friend has phoned to say her arthritis is too bad for her to consider driving up from Benfleet.
I hope she feels better soon...this getting old (er) is definitely not for wimps!

Good morning, Elle!
It has been spittering rain here, earlier, but stopped now.
Any more on the London water cuts?
I have been stood up, too!
Miss L-B and me were going to Pine Cone, but she got phoned from work asking if she could come in and help out.
So, that was fine with me.
I was looking forward to a cheese and mushroom omelette, too!
Getting older is no bowl of cherries, true!

Good morning, Rusty!
Our supposed rain for today is so far still remaining just a threat!
I hope to get in both morning and afternoon walks without getting wet.
I believe that Thames Water has said that the water supply is back, although there is a temporary pump remaining in operation, and some areas will experience lower pressure.
A pity about your postponement to the Pine Cone......you are beginning to develop quite a fondness for cheese and mushroom omelettes!
I am not very keen on mushrooms......I prefer cheese and onion omelettes, and on the runny side!
I have just been sorting out the Insurance claim for the cat's pancreatitis........
I should get back about £2000!

Good afternoon, Elle!
Light rain here.
I thought Thames Water would get the problem fixed quickly.
The omelettes are tasty.
I like mushrooms.
Miss L-B often has a Stornoway black pudding roll.
That's an expensive cat you have!
All quiet on the Outlook front?

Hi, Rusty!
I am now home again for the rest of the day!
We had a good walk.
The rain has mostly held off ...I think because it is so very windy.
Yes, the cat has cost us a fair penny!
His last "bout", two years ago, cost us over £4000.
I am now calling him my "six thousand pound" cat!
No, nothing at all from Outlook......neither from the (utterly useless, totally incompetent) service engineers, nor the company CEO.
It makes no difference how I read my emails...be it from my desk top, my (newly resurrected) Hudl, or my friend's computer.......I still have no Junk/ Drafts/ Sent items/ Deleted items/ boxes etc.
They are missing whatever the appliance…...
Right, I need a coffee......

Hello, Elle.
It is dry here, but windy.
A very expensive cat!
I think you will be glad to see the back of Outlook?
Is Outlook free?
I've just got out my Hudl too, after reading your message.
It is busy updating Twitter etc!
Been months since I used it!
My friends from Norn Iron have just arrived in town.
Not sure where they are staying this time.
My son will be here soon, I think!

Good evening, Rusty!
You may still be chatting with your son?
Yes, basic Outlook is free ( as was Hotmail ) although there is a more advanced version for which one has to pay.
I only have the free set up.
Now, I think I finally have this sorted?
At present, I access my emails through my Web Browser, which I can do on any appliance that has an Internet connection....... mine or even a friend's, or at the library, for instance.
Whereas if I were to use an email client, I should need to download an app to my desk top, and would be limited to reading/sending my emails only on there.
Have I understood this correctly?
That is nice that your friends from Norn Iron are here.
How long for?
Do you have plans to meet up whilst they are here?

Good evening, Elle!
A fine evening here!
My son has gone home.
We watched a recording of the cycling today.
Another win for Wout van Aert!
I don't know what a Web Browser is, so I can't help you with your query.
I have an email thing from Google Chrome, which I have never used, I downloaded BT Mail, and I got BlueMail from the Google Play Store.
The only reason I have two, is for a back-up.
They are very simple for me to use, but I suspect not for you with your need for sub-folders etc.
I don't know how long my friends are here for.
I can't meet them tomorrow, but hope to, on Saturday.

Hi, Rusty!
You will have enjoyed watching the cycling together!
I do not know Wout van Aert?
A Web Browser is simply a name for Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge , Firefox, Opera and the like.
It suits me to use a Web Browser, as it means I can access my email account from any other appliance should my own desk top computer break down.
Now.....we have had some excitement!
A neighbour from down the road came aknocking on our door...
It seems his cat was up on our roof!
Now these are tall houses...with our having two and a half storeys.......
Goodness knows how the cat got up there!
We had to get our ladders out.....and the cat's owner had to climb up to the roof to rescue the cat........with me standing safely at the bottom, holding the ladder!
Fortunately the cat, obviously scared , cooperated and was willing to be rescued!
All ended well with the owner carrying the cat safely home!
