Good evening, Elle!
Remember today is Wednesday.
Hardest Times puzzle of the week!
I liked it, though!
Just watched the women's team sprint at the World's.
The Aussies are fastest qualifiers.
Katy Marchant and Vicky Williamson did not qualify.
Vicky looks a bit off the pace, but given what she has been through this last three years, she can be very proud of herself!
And the GB team is very much focusing on Tokyo next year.
And it was strange seeing a German sprint team without Kristina Vogel.

Rosalind and Kenyatta

I agree with Kenyatta's comments about the NHS. I have been very lucky, as have my elderly relatives over many years. Rosalind, your son has been very badly treated. Is it down south? Surely it would not have happened in Merseyside/Cheshire/ North Wales with our great hospitals here?

It is much better nowadays. When I was younger, I sustained a foot injury playing football and had an 8 month wait for an orthopaedic appointment. It never healed properly and still causes trouble.

Good evening, Rusty!
We have had a lovely afternoon out walking.
What a glorious day'
It may well be the last one like this we shall have for a time......but I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!
Yes, perhaps my lack of prowess in the crossword is because it is a Wednesday.
I am pleased, though, with what I have so far managed to do.... so will rest on my laurels!
I can go no further.......
I am glad you have enjoyed the cycling.
It is a shame that Katy and Vicky did not qualify.
Vicky though has done very well to put herself back out there, and deserves much credit for that, doesn't she?

Rusty, what a terrific race that was! I always think it's great when these fairly long (to me) races come so alive in the last few laps.

Hello, Malone,
A great ride from Elinor.
Especially beating Kirsten Wild.
A spectacular crash too!
Could be another medal for Elinor in the pursuit!
Team GB off to a great start!

Hello, Elle!
Posts crossing!
Elinor rode the perfect race.
She kept herself at the back of the race and attacked late on.
My only criticism of Elinor is she has gone blonde!
I preferred her with her natural dark hair.
Vicky deserves every plaudit going and I think there is more to come from her.
Racing stopped just now.
There was a big crash and the track is damaged and undergoing repair, (this is fairly normal)

Rusty, I always get very jittery when there's a crash - and that was a pretty dramatic one! I know it's par for the course (!) for the sport, but it's always a relief when I hear afterwards that the riders are OK.
