Hi, Rusty
!I enjoyed "The Voice", although unfortunately I missed the last twenty minutes of it as I had a phone call.
Bad timing!
It is repeated tomorrow morning though, so I may set the recorder and catch the rest of it then.
Tonight, I had the recorder set for "Casualty", which always crosses with "The Voice" on Saturday evening
(I can only record one thing at a time)
Are you aware that there is Athletics tomorrow, should you want to watch ?
2 pm on BBC 2 ,following on from the Winter Olympics coverage.
It is the Glasgow Indoor Grand Prix from the Emirates arena.
I am looking forward to it!
More Indoor Athletics from Birmingham on Thursday, too!
How are your Olympic events going?

Hello, Ros
I think Bobby is a Skye terrier?
Is that right?
You know, I always assumed that the statue depicted Bobby lying on his master's grave?
Apparently not!
(I was one of those who clicked on your link, JG!)

and I was one of the 11 people too JG!
Nothing is secret on this thread, as you well know!

Rusty, I really like your lady (forgotten her name already!) singing
'Sing me an old-fashioned song' - She has a voice timber that I
like.

I LOVE karaokes.............!!! Particularly when you go to one with
a bunch of mates - good clean fun; I went to some in France and
in GB/Guernsey;

Hello Elle, How are you today? Have you enjoyed two walks?
It has been a glorious day, but oh! so cold in the night and morning-
only reasonably nice (+2C) in early afternoon.

Hello, Elle!
I am pretty much finished with the Olympics but I would like to see the closing ceremony.
Three granddaughters and Pine Cone take priority tomorrow!
I'll see if there is any cycling on Eurosport when I come home.
Cheltenham is getting nearer, too!

Hello, Pigale!
The lady singing was Dublin's own, Niamh Lynn.
I like her a lot.
Yes, the karaoke's great fun (I am astonished Elle has never been to a session!).
It is popular in France, too?
I did not realise that.
It is huge in Japan.

Hi, Rusty!
I think the Olympics Closing ceremony is showing in the morning at 11am on BBC2?
Won't this clash with the time that you usually meet your granddaughters?
Maybe you can record it?
Three girls? You had only mentioned Miss O previously.
Who else is coming?
You will have a great time!
Now......I think I must have led a very sheltered life?
So where would I go for a karaoke session?
I have heard of karaoke, of course, but honestly I have never come across it!

Hello, Pigale!
Yes, we usually manage two walks, especially if one is in the very early morning.
And now that the days are stretching and it stays light for longer, we can go out for the second walk much later on in the afternoon.
This gives more time for other activities during the day!
Very cold here!

Hello, Elle!
Miss O, La Bamba is driving, and Miss O'Hara are going!
Will be great!
The karaoke takes place in pubs.
Now, do not say you have never been in a pub!
Now look what I have found!
A lovely lady singing and I almost shed a tear!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4P3uDR6JSHM
I think she will go far!

Good morning rusty

We got a mention over on AB . (cloverjo on the Mikey thread)

I loved Niamh Lynn singing. Thank you for the clip.
Evelyn age 81 - what a lovely lady and she sang with emotion.
Coincidentally, last evening I was half-watching Judi Dench on BBC2 and she sang "Send in the clowns" with tears streaming down her cheeks. It is one of those songs that can be almost "said" rather than sung. It may be on Youtube somewhere, but I haven't looked.

Elle, you can practise Karaoke at home. You won't have a Mic of course, but you can use your hot air brush (not plugged in or you could do yourself an injury ! )

Enjoy your outings all. I am busy at home.

Good morning, Rusty!
We have a beautiful - albeit freezing - morning!
I hope your day is as good as this!
I have only been as far as the garden so far........we are going out late morning.
Now, pubs and karaoke........
On occasions, I have been to the odd pub that has a separate restaurant - there is a great one in Pakefield (Suffolk) like that!
Wonderful food!
But generally speaking, no, I don't go to pubs!
I loved your lady!
I have just been watching/ listening to/ her........
You definitely have a knack for finding brilliant clips!
She is a lovely person...and very spunky.
(I hope I am like that when/if I get to her age!)
I like what she said.......and she sang beautifully.
I love that song.......and she interpreted it with great skill and feeling.
No wonder she got the Golden Buzzer!
What time are you being collected by the girls?
It is good that Miss O'H is joining you!
Now for The Everyman.....

I think I will give my family a break and abstain from the karaoke , JG.........you have not heard my "singing"!
Enioy your day.

Good morning, Jazzgirl!
Yes, it was very nice of Cloverjo to give us a mention!
I think they were pleased.
I like Niamh, a smashing singer.
And as for Evelyn!
I think I have fallen in love with her!
I'll have to try and find out how she got on in the final, but the ladies on the panel were "wowed" by her.
I watched Judi Dench, she was super.
Everything in the whole wide world appears to be on YouTube!

Good morning, Elle!
Fine day here, but cold!
Did you watch the other clip I posted of Niamh singing "Sing Me An Old Fashioned Song"?
What did you think?
I think there may be Karaoke machines that you can use at home?
Yes, Evelyn is the bees knees!
Boy, can she talk!
Her granddaughter and her friend were delighted for her!
Now, how do I go about joining the "Evelyn Fan Club"?!
Going out at 11, hopefully....!
