Good morning, Rusty!
It is very wet and cold here!
Not a nice day for a walk...although the dog was not deterred!
She will go out in virtually any type of weather .......bar a thunderstorm!
She is afraid of thunder...as she also is of fireworks!
Ah, I stand corrected about the honeyberry....
I think I should enjoy eating it......its taste sounds delicious!
Now, John has just sent the crosswords so I shall take a look.....
Have a good time this morning with your family!
Catch up with you later.......

Good afternoon, Elle!
Great weather here, though fairly cold.
I am recently home from my visit!
I agree, the honeyberry sounds very tasty.
Pity the farm shop is closed.
Good luck with your puzzles!

Hi, Rusty!
I am sure you will have had a great time visiting your youngest grandchild, and her mum!
And, of course, not forgetting the dog!
I have 'finished' the Cryptic and the Jumbo GK.
I have answers for all the clues in the Cryptic - which I am (fairly) sure are all correct - but seven still to parse!
The answers seemed obvious, but those seven parsings so far evade me!
Have you had chance yet to look at your puzzle?
The rain has (probably only temporarily ) stopped here.....so I shall pop out shortly to buy a Wedding Anniversary card whilst I think of it!

Hello, Elle!
We had a nice time.
My daughter-in-law is going to darn my cardigan!
She noticed a couple of holes in it.
Very nice of her!
Hope you got your card!
I have completed my puzzle, and all parsed except 5d.
"en" is my problem.
It appears to mean "nut" and Anne Bradford has "en" under "fruit", but it is not in Chambers!
I'll come back to it later.
Other than that, all appears well.
A good puzzle!

Rusty, if you look under Nut you'll find '...an en (printing)'.

Hello, Malone!
Just found it in Collins Dictionary!
Yes, it is in Chambers, too.
I must have been too hasty scanning "nut" earlier!
Thank you, Malone!

And I got info wrong, too!
Anne Bradford has "en" under "nut", NOT "fruit"!

Glad you're sorted, Rusty. I thought you'd expected 'nut' to appear under 'en', rather than the other way about.

Hello, Malone!
These setters are very good at confusing clues, so I looked under both.
It was sheer carelessness that I did not spot the entry for "en" under nut!
All sorted now!

Hi, Rusty!
Thank you, yes, I have got a very nice card for "Daughter and son-in-law"!
It is easy to remember their Wedding Anniversary, as it is on Remembrance Day!
I got wet, though.... the rain came back with a vengeance!
Now, I am a tad confused about "en" and "nut"?
I had thought - obviously wrongly? - that 5d parsed as such......
Maenad = wild woman (def)
mad - crazy
"en" for "N" - nut
You have lost me completely in your conversation with Malone?
My favourites were 9a: irradiate; 26a: discount stores; and 23d: merit
I am no nearer parsing my rogue ones!
(I have managed to wash and dry my hair though!)
