Hi, Rusty!
It's none too warm here either....definitely becoming cooler than it was over the last few days.
Well, I have finished the 15 x15.
I see that Mr. R is still keeping in with you!
And shades of Billy Cotton in another clue........ that is going back a long time!
I think I have done them all correctly.......
My replacement book has not yet arrived....still, Bahamut Media did say a fortnight!

Hello, Elle!
I have not looked at the puzzle yet.
I am intrigued as to what Mr R is up to today!
Shall find out later!
Billy Cotton is an age away!
You will have to be patient with your book.
They may email you when it has been sent.
It has turned cloudy here so I am off out now in case the rain is planning a visit!

Hi, Rusty!
Are you home again?
How was your walk?
Did you manage to beat the rain?
Still poggy here......
I am debating whether not to venture forth again.....
Now....... I meant to ask you.......
How is the "V & A Museum of Design" in Dundee coming along?
It is quite a while since you mentioned it........and I must admit to forgetting all about its progress, until I caught the tail end of a mention on the radio, the other morning.
Ah, I think the post has arrived, judging by the volume of noise the dog is making!

Hello, Elle!
Home now!
Had a good walk, it is not warm!
The V and A is coming along on schedule, I believe.
The cofferdams have been removed.
It is due to open next year sometime.
The Waterfront Development has transformed that part of the city.
Much more attractive, now, though it has taken many years.
Is it "strath" you associate with Mr Rogan?
I have an answer "talcum" for 13, but I can not begin to parse it, so I am presuming it is either wrong, or if correct, the setter is way too cute for me.
What say you, Elle?

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, it was "Strath" of which I was thinking...yet another Scottish reference from Mr. R!
I, too, have "talcum" for 13a.
I didn't really give it much thought, Rusty?
Talc is a very soft clay mineral of magnesium silicate.
I assumed that the bath reference was to soaking in the tub, and using "talc" to absorb moisture, afterwards.
(I don't know if it's used nowadays.........we all go for adding moisture, rather than removing it!)
I didn't think of it as being a Geographical reference (as to Bath)?
I just stuck the answer in, quite happily!
I may be wrong........
That is good to hear about the V & A.
That is one museum here, to which I have never been.
I should rectify the omission.

Hello, Elle!
Apparently, the V and A designer, Kengo Kuma, was in town today, and is very pleased with the progress.
Here, if I can manage to do it properly, is a short film about the project and a a glimpse of the city.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_pSyg0UPgA

There are lots of videos about it on YouTube.

Hi, Rusty!
I'm not sure if our previous posts didn't cross?
They were very close together......
Maybe check?
I have just watched the film........
Yes, it worked fine! You are becoming expert at this now!
I found the film very interesting - and enjoyed the glimpses of the city.
I didn't know that this new V&A project in Dundee is the only V&A built anywhere in the world outside London!
It will be a fantastic part of Dundee's heritage .

Hello, Elle!
Yes, our posts crossed!
It is a bit different copying and pasting on a Chromebook.
But I seem to have cracked it!
Yes, it is an amazing feat of building, out into the river.
Hence the use of cofferdams.
The whole Waterfront Project is quite remarkable and is costing a billion or two!
Even Lorraine Kelly was impressed!
Lorraine is a local.
I am coming to the conclusion that "talcum" is correct and that it just a poor clue?

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I remember reading about the cofferdams, when first you mentioned the project.
An amazing feat of engineering!
I think "talcum" has to be correct, Rusty?
Just a somewhat inept clue?
I coped quite well with the clues today, though, on the whole!
I liked 8d and 9d, and 29a
I had to check out "quarrel" though.
I didn't know that it was an archer's arrow.
So a double definition there?

Hello, Elle!
You are correct.
It must be "talcum", but an awful clue, indeed.
I knew "quarrel", it has cropped up before. (Why "cropped"?)
Crops arise, I suppose?
Will see if Anne Bradford has it!
Yes, double definition, Elle.
So has "earplug", just a day or two ago!
But a good puzzle, I think?
