I'm in considerable debt to several earlier answers as otherwise my gaps would be more numerous than they are.

However, some are proving elusive so I would welcome help with the following :

4A - Putting one's drink in old hat is overindulgent (10)
???S?????D

24A - What's set somewhere across the pond? (5)
L?T??

47D - Story-teller had best cope without any tips (5)
?????
&
51A - Ron brained savagely after hospital pass (3, 10)
??N ?E???R?I?O
(Some of these letters may be suspect as I can't find anything relevant to fit.)

Thank you!
It was lot/set I could not grasp.
Anne Bradford gives it though and she can do no wrong in my eyes!
