@Rusty
Should I buy Bradford's crosswordsolver's Lists or
Bradford's Crosswordsolver's dictionary.
I already have Chambers dictionaries (3)

Both (red one and blue one)! - might come as a set if you research it a bit.
The Book People usually have good offers

I've used the Lists only two or three times since I bought it, I've used the Dictionary at least two or three times a week!

Jazzgirl, I don't have "Lists", so I cannot comment on that one.
i have her "Dictionary" and I would not be without it.
Many others, including the late Araucaria, and also Colin Dexter, say the same.
I have Chamber's, but I like Anne Bradford's Dictionary equally.
Go for it!

Thanks for your advice Sudokulover and Malone.
My reason for not buying them was that I might come to rely on them too much and not use my brain which I have thus far relied on !!

I keep the Bradfords upstairs, so that I am not tempted to dive in to it too soon. The 'real' reference books - dictionary's, Brewer's, ODQ, are allowed to stay downstairs so that I can check things.

Jazzgirl, just had a wee look on Amazon.
They are listed there from one penny, plus p&p.

'Dictionary's' -?! Obviously my Spellechecker's fault, not mine.
