I have finished but am puzzled about the parsing of 13A. Sloth shown by partners after trimming box tree (6). I assume that it is bonsai (-O-S-I) , BO, (Box trimmed) + NS (bridge partners) but how does AI translate into sloth?

An ai is a sloth.

I've only just finished. I don't like to give up but I really didn't enjoy this one. Having the remotest interest in campanology might have helped!

Those not too caught up in the election, let's talk about 2D. If it's a theme about bells, well... Set of 20 in flat, result of scout doing two more jobs? I have P?A?N ?O? T???L?S, and there's flat and result, and I say Is there an expression Plain for Tickles, google it and come up with a colourful watch (scout??) But it can't be right. Answer please, dear forum.
