It's been fun, less difficult than I feared, but I'm left with J, T and E unsolved. I won't bother to write the clues unless someone asks for them... Thanks for your forbearance. Happy St. V.

I didn't think the E clue quite worked.

J "The Guardian" indicates a possesive.

I didn't see anything wrong with the E clue (except I've seen similar in lots of Xwds).

Can anyone explain the parsing of a couple which still escape me? I've finished, so I don't need answers but explanations.

A He'd bend to steal my heart [???] with song [+ aria] all our lives enhancing [True! And still sadly missed]

F(7) Good Lord, almost finished filling in crafty type's [???] puzzle! [definition]

V So shortly filing books [???] one's marked X? [definition]
----
J: Most of a word for run, around Guardian's + N for new, definition = reporter. Why 'there'? Seems redundant.

T: Splendid = definition, a slightly Woosterish expression. Word for to drink, around a shortened synonym of 'vacation'. Not sure about 'of course', although the second word is a bit golfy.

If Paul reads this forum, then I'd like to say thank you for this lovely alphabetti. It was a bit easier than Araucaria's (no strange/unknown words for a start), and very good fun with just a modicum of Paul's 'seaside humour'. Thanks, and good luck with the Marathon.

It's OK, I've just parsed F to my satisfaction.

Thanks, Trevor. Doh! I didn't spot all the rhymes, only the first two - probably because I was jumping about rather than going through them from the top.
