No, no, Raymond, cariad, I had to turn to Google to translate Jazzgirl`s message ! And her latest, too.
I didn`t know Jazzgirl is Welsh !
I learned Welsh at school but never spoke it at home - and it`s almost 70 years since I left school !
I do know the national anthem but only bits of the lovely Calon Lan. Nos da, Mags.

I once taught an very clever girl of Asian extraction in Lancashire who had been brought up in Cardiff. In the General Paper she opted to take the Welsh language option (rather than the more obvious Urdu) as she had been required to study it in school - though I have to say that she was not entirely successful on this paper; though she did very well in her science papers.

21 the definition is "garment" - the rest should be read upwards.
23a I've hinted at already

No I'm not Welsh (I'm from Wiltshire) but my husband was Welsh (from Llangeitho, Ceredigion) so we spent a lot of time there. Daniel Rowland (b.1713) was one of his ancestors (see Wikipedia for details !)
Have a good day. I am trying to catch up with some gardening today.

I`ve looked him up - I like the way he changed from
`hellfire` sermons to `preaching grace`.
Good luck with the gardening - the ground is rock-hard here. Mags.

Hello again Jazzie and Mags,
Interesting to hear your story about Daniel Rowlands, we 'did' him in my Welsh History classes 'back in the days'...(1947!!) We bred some good old characters didn't we.? I had a real 'Hell-fire' Preacher of a great uncle (Welsh Baptist) who frightened me to death. My 'Mam' was very proud of the fact that she was descended from William Edwards (Pontypridd) the 'Bridgebuilder'. It's good to see the structure still there, quite an achievement.! Off for a cuppa (al fresco) hope this weather keeps up.!

Chrise. Did you have a good holiday in the Hebrides and then Rome?
